About us
PhylThis Cosmetics was created in 2014 by Phyllis McCollum a native of Milwaukee Wisconsin.
The name was initially intended to represent a unique and innovative clothing line. Phylthis Meaning "feel this material" also explored the ideal of creating a line of nail polish. In 2016 PhylThis nail polish line was formed. With vibrant , chic, cool, calm and sophisticated colors. It’s like fire to a candle; it will light up and create such a chic and fashion statement.
Our product is fast drying and is specifically designed to prevent early chipping.
My idea was to create that “wow-factor” nail polish to grab the attention of customers of all ages. Phylthis will quickly become a must have in the cosmetic world, and will have customers from all over the world saying “I’m heading towards PhylThis Cosmetics door”.

What inspired you to create a polish line?
I’ve always kept my nails done. When I was a little girl I wanted white nail polish and it was hard to find. I found it; I used white out (laughs). Yes it was chalky and I liked it (its call matte polish now) that’s when I knew I needed to create my own. I’ve always loved bright colors and it’s been said you have to wear certain color certain times of the year. I wore white in the winter and colors other than black to a funeral before it was really accepted. I was always ahead of my time when it came to fashion. During the time when I was a young teen and a young woman things of this caliber was almost enviable for “normal” people such as myself to even think to do. The thought never left my mind no matter what job I’ve had. I want to build a brand that my four daughters can carry on; and make sure my grandchildren will be more than ok. Also I want to make a name for my company by having my product on the shelves of the city’s beauty stores, beauty shops, nail salons, spas and in the home of everyone creating a household name. I received my manicurist license in 1994. It only made sense to me to create my own brand and employment, with a lot more products to come.
